A non-rocking chair instead of glider?
Thoughts? I don't want to commit to a glider. Mostly since I want to move it to my office when I'm dont with it in the babies room and I cant fine one that will match both. Should I bother with a comfy arm chair in the nursery even if it doesn't rock?

Re: A non-rocking chair instead of glider?
Thats what I want- a chair and a half. I figure a glider is too small and the chair and a half gliders are $1200 and we are already broke. I wanted something for my office (next door) anyway. Both will be the same price, but I'm just wondering if it needs to rock. I guess I can just rock them myself?

Re: A non-rocking chair instead of glider?
My other option is a Pottery Barn chair in white. I have a $260 credit so it would be cheaper than JCPchair and a half and they have white where JCP only has ivory.
PS, Im on bedrest and Im pretty sure DH is getting a call from the cc company today

I don't like the look of the non-chair ones. They won't go with the room. :( But Target has one for $187.

I have no advice I just wanted to add that those chair and a halves are freaking expensive and I'm not sure if it's going to be worthwhile getting a chair I can't fit both kids in.

I'm leaning towards a PB chair which is deep at least. We have a 3 level split so I want somewhere to feed them during the night once they are in their cribs and I don't want to have to carry them both all the way up or down the stairs. I'm just scared of getting white and the only other color that would match their room is grey which, of course, they don't!
This is too exhausting. Lol

I saw one that was a glider but not a glider chair. I want one that looks like a chair. The glider won't look right in there. And they are kinda small for me and 2 babies. I feel like if it's not right it's not worth buying anything.

Re: A non-rocking chair instead of glider?
If we have a boy, I'm doing a vintage baseball nursery and I'm going to get a leather clubman chair. I have a glider from DD and we did rock in it, but I figure I can just rock back and forth in a regular chair. Plus, this time I want this baby falling asleep in his/her crib instead of in my arms like I still have to rock my 17 1/2 month old!

They have it in ivory too. Read the reviews, it seems the only complaint about the chair is that some ppl got it delivered dirty.

Re: A non-rocking chair instead of glider?
Arhghh. I don't know. I want something ill use. Otherwise even 400 is a huge waste of money. Kwim. I'll have to price the chair and a half with bbb coupon. Maybe if I skip the ottoman. I still need to buy their bedding, monitors, and a ton of other stuff they will need when they get home. I'm going to make up 40 emails to get coupons lol.

Whats good about most gliders is that they lock. So if you don't want it to rock it doesn't have too.
