Lazboy chair instead of glider?
I am thinking about getting a lazyboy chair instead of a glider. Anyone do this? they make ones that rock. Do you think the ottoman is necessary too? I am wondering if I can get one on sale. Any thoughts?

Sounds like it would work just fine. Please don't let me DH find out I said that.

if you have the room for it why not. It's all about comfort! Our baby room is so small, I don't even know if a glider is pushing it!

That is what I have-we have a rocking recliner that is so comfy, and that is where I will be nursing Miss Bean!

they actually make one that is pretty small and may even take up less space than a glider (if you forgo the ottoman). my mom has 2 of them and I am very petite and my feet actually reach the floor when I am sitting and rocking in it. I forget the model name, but that is the one I am going to look into getting.

Re: Lazboy chair instead of glider?
My mom has a lazy boy recliner/rocker. It was my "official" BFing chain when I visited. The over-sized arm-rests are awesome. I loved it. (I think that it would work equally well for FF if that is your choice.) I would love to get one for my own house if I ever have DC #2.

I'm considering doing this- JDLdolphin is selling one on the home board for $75! You would just need to slipcover it if you don't like the color

Re: Lazboy chair instead of glider?
I had an oversized armchair that I used with DS. It didn't glide/rock but it was the best thing ever. It was so big and comfy. This time around I was limited on space and totally went with style over function and bought an awesome navy blue velvet chair that I absolutely LOVE. But it has no arms, so we'll see how well it works out when I need it for nursing. I did buy a foot stool too so atleast I can put my feet up.

Re: Lazboy chair instead of glider?
YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My mom was generous enough to buy me a very nice lazyboy chair that rocks/glides. It is FABULOUS! To me it felt much more comfortable than any of the gliders I tried at BRU. I didn't get an ottoman. Don't think it's necessary, but is a personal preference.
