New to LIFamilies and could really use the support!
I am 35 (almost 36). After 14 years of taking the pill, I stopped taking it in Dec 2011. My husband & I have been ttc since then. I have only had my period 4 times (46-48 day cycles) and now no period for 3 months. I have been doing acupuncture since April and spent a fortune peeing on ovulation sticks and I am certainly not ovulating. My last pelvic ultrasound showed a left polycystic ovary and an "area of fluid" which my gyn thinks may be a blockage of the fallopian tube. I was referred to see a RE. Any experience with Dr. Palter or Dr. Zapantis?

i dont have any experience with either of those RE but wanted to say good luck and moving onto seeing a RE is the best thing.

i don't have any experience with either of those doctors, however, seeing a RE is definately a step in the right direction! a RE can help you in many ways that an OB ever will. Lots of luck ahead!

Dr. Zapantis is AMAZING. I love him so, so much. He now has his own practice. He isn't at ECF/LIIVF anymore.

Any chance your OB is in Woodbury? My previous OB who was in Woodbury recommended those 2 REs. I then went on to see Dr. Palter. I did several iuis and one ivf with him. If you have any specific questions let me know.....

No experience with either RE, but I think you are headed in the right direction with seeing an RE. Good luck and you are in the right place for support, thw women here are amazing. Good luck!!p!

Wishing you the Best! I don't have Exp. with any of those Drs. I wanted to use Dr. Zapantis but he doesn't take my Insurance. So I am going to be using Rsofny.

Welcome!
FM if you'd like to know about Dr. Zapantis- I saw him years ago at ECF and I"m glad he opened his own practice. I'd look for current patients of his now.

I thought it was Dr. Eysler:). He was my Gyn 4 years ago when i started my journey and those were the 2 REs he recommended at that time. In my experience, since Eysler is a single practitioner, he likes to reommend other single practitioners as well. After spending a litle over a year with dr. Palter i switched to north shore and now have a 9m dd. good luck!

I had my first appt with the RE today- I saw Dr. Palter @ Gold Coast IVF and he was wonderful. He took time to review my medical records and spent 45 minutes with me discussing my options. The staff was great too! I was a little nervous because of some of the reviews I had read about him but he was great and I feel comfortable that he will figure out what is causing my infertility and help me get pregnant! Thank you to all the girls who welcomed me to this board- you are like a little family! It's very sweet :)
