What do you guys think of $2k lifetime enrollment at Gymboree?
Includes 2 classes a week til your kid is 5 plus unlimited open gym and $25 gym bucks for every semester.
I personally can barely get through one semester of mommy and me type stuff. We're always switching to something new. Once my kids are older and have real interests like specific sports, I'm sure I'll be headed to the same practices, etc for years.

My initial thought, aside from not having 2k laying around to shell out, is what if I have a second kid? Then I'd have to pay for the 2nd, and they wouldn't be in the same level class, etc....

I think its limiting - for the amount it costs IMO- Id rather not tie myself in to one company for the next 5 years.

Even if you use gymboree... it's not worth it.
Kids only go for so long. Before 22 months, it was a waste & my kid will probably only go through this winter. We will probably go 6 months in total.

I don't think I would want to make that long of a commitment with them. I signed up DS for 3 months, and by the 3rd month he hated it and we cancelled.

The Gymboree that we used to go to closed. I'm not sure when, since we aged-out a while ago, but we passed by where it was a few weeks ago, and it was a dance studio. In 5 years, "your" Gymboree could close as well, or move to an inconvenient location.

I wouldn't want to commit to something like that. As others posted, if your location closes, the next one may be too far.
Plus, I think they are way overpriced.

I would never do it. You could easily get bored.

My DD got bored of Gymboree shortly after turning 2.5 years old.

Not a good deal! Once a kid turns around 2 or so, there are so many other options besides Gymboree. You could do a drop off 2's program, you could do different mommy and me groups, you could even do dance for a little girl, stuff like that. Gymboree will definitely take a backseat by then-- it's so overpriced to begin with!

This. Once they reach a certain age you want to try different things and you don't want to be limited to gymboree bc you feel like you paid $2k for it.
