Splenda
Are you having splenda? I know it's allowed but I try to limit however I notice it is in ALOT of snacks and drinks listed as sucralose.
Just curious what others think or if anyone's doctor said not to have it.

I was told TO have it lol. Guess my OB thinks it's better than sugar for me.

Re: Splenda
I had GD with my last pregnancy and I Splenda was OK'ed by both my OB and endocrinologist. I tried not to have more than 2 packs a day (one for my tea, one for my oatmeal) and I didn't really eat many things that had Splenda in it.
A few months ago I actually stopped using Splenda and switched over to Truvia which is suppose to be a lot better for you. (it's made from sugar) I've been using that still even since finding out I am pregnant a few months ago.

Re: Splenda
Personally, I don't. However, if I had GD I probably would.
My personal feeling (even though the doc said it is okay) is that it hasn't been around long enough. They used to say sweet n low was okay, now it's not. They used to say Equal was okay, now it's not.
There is enough other things that I can have that don't contain it, so I stay away. I don't let my kids have it either for the same reasons.

Re: Splenda
My OB said in moderation. Like a cup of coffee with splenda per day is ok. I definitley use less than I used to. If I haven't had tea in the am, I might get unsweetened iced tea at a restaurant but just put one splenda instead of 2.

Splenda
No I don't have anything with those fake sugars in it. My OB told me not to have it, but I wouldn't have it anyway bc they've been linked to problems

Re: Splenda
I don't. I cut out all artificial sweeteners when I was diagnosed with my infertility issues in order to keep any extra chemicals out of my body. I am just not comfortable with it. I use agave for my coffee, cereal, etc. instead. If I was diabetic or had GD I am sure it would be different though.
MIL seems to not want to listen to me when I say I won't eat anything with them.... she is diabetic and I won't eat her special muffins and cookies, etc. She still constantly tries to get me to eat them

Re: Splenda
i will not (ever) use artificial sweeteners. I would rather have sugar from time to time than anything artificial. I also cannot stomach the way they taste

Yes it is okay. I personally don't eat/drink a lot of stuff with artificial sweetners just because they're chemicals.
