I need laser advice!

I'm in NC, so I don't need a referral for anyone NY local.
BUT.....I need help with how to choose the right/reputable place!
I just went somewhere for a consult & had a patch test done. Overall it was fine, but 1 SMALL moment there was an instant heat & sure enough later that day, i noticed a tiny burn (like you briefly hit your oven).

That's my biggest fear of laser!

I was also given the following rate for unlimited for a year:
$5,000 full body
$2,000 bikini
$300 upper lip
$2,000 arms

Do those seem average?

TY!!!!!

Re: I need laser advice!

Im sort of confused,

$5000 for entire body- Unlimited?

so why are there are there other prices listed?

What is it that you really want done? the areas of importance?

Heres how I look at it. my underarms was the only thing I had to pay in advance since it was a special price package.

the brazilian wasnt and I like paying as I went.
seeing those prices- EEK! I wont pay that in advance.
I know you arent here so its different.

I also dont like that you burned. I never ever got burned.

Outside of the bottom 1/2 of my legs and my upper lip- Im done with lasering after I get those done...If i even do them.

I dont think the cost would ever amount to those you put down...so its hard for me to see if those are worth it.

Re: I need laser advice!

Those prices scare me but the fact that you burned HORRIFIES me Chat Icon I'd stay away from that place.

I am not in NY either but I'm in the process of having my bikini and underarms done. They were both packages but I paid $269 for 6 sessions of an extended bikini & $149 for 3 sessions of my underarm.

I am going on my 5th session for the bikini and I don't think I'll need anymore after my 6th session. As for my underarms I think 3 sessions will be plenty. I've only had 1 session done and it's been 9 days since I've had to shave...not even a shadow of hair underneath my arm.

Yes I will need a touch up on both areas a few years from now (may be) but nothing that will ever amount to the prices you have been quoted.

I have never burned or even came close to having a burn after any of my sessions. I have had mild swellling/red skin but it goes away after about an hour or two.

Good Luck. Once you do find a place you will love it. It's the best money I've ever spent.

Re: I need laser advice!

The prices were for each part for an entire year of unlimited sessions. Or the $5000 for the entire body unlimited for the year.

I too can't pay a big sum at once.

I'm still looking, this was my 1st consult. But I immediately wanted to know if that's normal.

Re: I need laser advice!

That's way to expensive and I would be very concerned about the "burn" you described. For me, the hair follicles may be a bit red for a few days after but not the skin, if that makes sense.

Totally does make sense!

I'm glad I trust my gutt. It's truly a SMALL spot, so it's nothing major. I even emailed them a picture & she said that was the point of the patch test & now we know not to go so strong. IDK, I still think it was an error on her part, I didn't feel any other part of it, & I think she moved outside of the "geled" area.

I'm also glad it's an EXPENSIVE quote! Chat Icon
