If you have been to Lake George, i have a few questions. Please
Where did you stay?? Was it kid friendly? Was it on or by the water?
Any recommendations are appreciated

We stayed at a Comfort Suites, it's nowhere near the water-- this was not in either Diamond Head or Bolton Landing! However, it has an indoor pool with a great water slide-- the kids loved this, we went in twice a day sometimes! It also has the free continental breakfast, which is nothing special but a good value when you have kids. Tons of families were there, very kid friendly, super clean.

Every time I went I stayed in Bolton Landing. The first time we stayed at the Sagamore (wow!) and then after that at a lake house in Bolton Landing. It's a great little town.

We stayed at Surfside on the Lake. It was very kid friendly. And it's on the lake (obviously!). I'll stay there again if/when we go back. We were able to walk everywhere, even though its kind of on the far edge of the town.

We rented a house in Bolton Landing, it was down the road from the Sagamore. The landlord would provide us with parking passes for the beach that was down the road.

We stayed at the Georgian last year. I thought it was a little dirty but I did like the location. Right on the strip, walking distance to all stores/restaurants etc. THis year we stayed at the Marine Village Resort which was two hotels down from the georgian. Much cleaner in my opinion and again, a great location.

Re: If you have been to Lake George, i have a few questions. Please
If you want to be in town and on the water I reccomend either Surfside or The Georgian.
If being in town is important to you but you don't need to be right on the water, Fort William Henry is nice and so is the Quality Inn.
And if you want a pool but don'd mind a short walk into town, I would highly reccomend the Holiday Inn Turf. It's right on Canada Street but it's about a 5 minute walk into the village. But it's probably the nicest hotel in Lake George (clean, new, and has a nice view of the lake).
