Re: Tummy Time
My daughter hates it too. I can get her to stay on her tummy about a minute at a time before she loses it, lol. I try to get her to hold her head up while I'm holding her, and I lay her on my lap and try to get some tummy time in that way too. I'm hoping she'll start to hate it less whe. She's a little older. She's 2.5 months. I feel your pain!

Re: Tummy Time
My DD HATES it too! I am a horrible mom...lol I have the lady at Day Care make her do it for at least 10 mins a day. That way I can still be the good guy
We do a lil tummy time at home..I can only stand to hear her cry and watch her struggle for 5 mins. It helps to put a mirrored toy in front of her.
Good luck!

Re: Tummy Time
Yup! Herees a trick. Holkd your baby on your stomach and chest facing you. Lay down and your baby will push off you and try to lift uyp and look around. Definately helps!!!!

Re: Tummy Time
Dont beat yourself over this. Just because your LO doesnt like it doesnt mean she'll be developmentally behind. My DS HATED it in the beginning now at almost 4mths he is tolerating it a bit more. He might last 3-5mins on his tummy now. Have you tried laying down on the bed and placing him on your tummy? Its the same concept but she might like it more since shes looking straight at you.

Tummy Time
My DS hated it and I never pushed it. HE was so colicky that I hater to make him cry by putting him on his tummy if he was happy for a minute. It never held him back and he still had great neck control early on.

Re: Tummy Time
My DS hated tummy time, he would scream the second I would put him on his belly. He is now 8 months and crawls all over and even sleeps on his belly too, give her some time, eventually she will tolerate it more, I don't think it will make her fall behind developmentally

Re: Tummy Time
DD hates it also. Maybe if Im lucky she will last 2 min. I put a toy in front of her head to get her interested to lift her head. It seems to work but after a min thats old news and shes done. I figure if I do that 2x a day we can work it up.
