I hit a wall

I am 32 weeks and have felt great up until now. I had pretty good energy in the 1st and 2nd tri - never got too tired, been able to work out, etc. etc. And now BAM I am just zapped. I am not sleeping good and just feel exhausted 24-7. I am taking naps when I can and going to bed early but overall I am still tired, irritable and fatigued. It doesn't help that my job has been really busy ugh. I have no energy or motivation to do anything when I get home either. I almost feel a little depressed or something.

Anyway I cried today because I do not know how I am going to make it 8 more weeks. I left work early due to a belly ache and exhaustion and then cried again because I have a 40 min drive home and all I wanted was my bed asap. I feel so bad complaining but I just cannot do this - I want to lay on my couch all day.

Girls - how did you survive? Please tell me the secret?!?

Re: I hit a wall

Ive been taking naps during the day some days since like 20 weeks. Then a nap after dinner. Can you nap for like 15/20 minutes on your lunch break? I've also been sleeping badly since the beginning. And now I'm sleeping a little better but I'm so uncomfortable so I'm tossing and turning all night. Do you have a body pillow? I find it helps a bit sometimes.

Re: I hit a wall

I have no suggestions, just wanted to say I feel your pain (and I'm only 23 weeks preggo, but I am carrying twins)...I have no idea how I am going to make it till the end and what I will be wearing because nothing fits me and nothing is comfortable anymore...I guess this just all comes with the territory and will be more than worth it in the end!

The third tri is sooo hard. I am almost 36 weeks and can start to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but some things are really taking their toll. I don't even look or feel like myself anymore.

Hang in there. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: I hit a wall

I am 39 weeks. I felt great until 35 or 36 weeks. The 3rd trimester is very difficult but it will go by fast. I am scheduled for a C-section on Tuesday and I feel like I won't be able to get all my stuff done in time. Things will get easier. Rest this weekend.

Re: I hit a wall

I'm with you...and I'm only 27 weeks tomorrow. I feel exhausted and irritated all day long. I feel awful for my three kids. My patience is short and I just don't feel good anymore (& I've felt great). I've also been dealing with a ton of little medical issues that are hanging over my head until after the baby is born. Each of my pregnancies have been a week shorter and my last little guy was born at 36w4d.....I want her to cook as long as possible, but can't help but hope its only 10 more weeks.
Hang in there! The end result is definitely worth it! Just try and take some "you" time as often as possible ! And remember that it's not selfish, it's necessary! Chat Icon

I am there w. you too, I will be 32 weeks on Thurdsay. I am having a lot of back and leg pain with this pregnancy (my third) and i am also wondering how I am going to get through the rest of the pregnancy sane lol. Its also a lot harder to have 2 kids who need a lot. I am just trying to give myself the okay to sit down and rest if I need it, but its easier said than done. I can say that after about 37 weeks it seems like everything speeds up and you are just trying to prepare for baby at that point. Good luck!

Re: I hit a wall

I don't even know how some of you are running after kids, I give you credit!!! It must be so much harder when you have little ones already.

Anyway I was a the dr. and told them about my extreme fatigue, they tested me for anemia but all looked good. She said just try to take it easy and rest alot. I wish I just wasn't so cranky and unmotivated. I think my biggest thing is I am so over working. UGH!

I had almost the same thing... I can't say I felt great until 35-36 weeks but I had a lot more energy. Now at 38+, I'm getting really tired. Sorry I don't really have any suggestions!
