EXTREME Gas Pain at 39/40 Weeks
Has anyone experienced this? I have been in agony since 4 am. I am assuming its gas pains, even though I dont really have gas........ I cant lay on my right side at all and have been in bed moaning and groaning. My stomach is in a constant state of discomfort and then the strong gas pains come on. I just got up and feel a little better but when my son wakes up it will be rough taking care of him if this continues. Any tips? Is this normal?

Lay on your left side. My mother always told me to do that with gas pains and it usually helps. TMI but it may help you pass gas. Hope you feel better!

Thanks I have been on my left side since 4 am, LOL! I am up and about the house now which seems to be helping but not much!!

Sounds like the baby is constricting things  Are you taking a stool softener like mirilax or colase? It might help a bit. Hope you feel better!

I second try lying on your left side. If you can move - do some squats to see if you can get the gas moving. I also find tums helpful when i get crazy gas pains.

Just wondering could it be labor pains ? My friend thought she had to poo turned out she was in labor the whole time

I think you might be in labor. I had really bad pains only at night for a couple of days before giving birth. So bad that I couldn't sleep and they got progressively worse each night. Baby might be making his/her entrance soon
