how does the completion bonus at BBB work?
We are not having a shower, and this is our second baby and I really am not expecting anyone to buy anything from the registry.
I did create one just to get organized and because I've heard of the completion bonus.
So if we want to buy our crib and car seat and stroller, do we have to wait until after the due date to get the bonus? Can we lie about the due due date and buy this stuff a month before baby is due? Would it look strange if I came in 8 months preggo to use the completion bonus?

I received a 10% off coupon a few weeks before my shower. You are better off using unexpired bed bath & beyond, Christmas tree shoppe, Harmon, or bru coupons which are 20% off.

Use a 20% off coupon for the crib. I don't think any of the furnitures are excluded. That way you get more off and you can buy it now.
Car seat and stroller check the coupon to see of theya re excluded brands on the 20% off one. The registry completion coupon does not come until a few weeks before your due date.

Thanks! WAs your shower far from your due date? I'm getting the city mini double and you can't use coupons for that, but you can use the completion coupon. Do you put the shower date on the registry?

they send you the 10% completion bonus in the mail but I went this past weekend and bought everything we'll need before the baby comes and was able to request the 10% coupon there. We used all the 20% and $5 coupons we had and then used the 10% completion coupon for the rest of the items. Just a FYI you can only use the 10% coupon for one shopping trip, I didn't realize that

Right, it is based off your EDD. I got it mid-July and my shower was July 22. My EDD is Aug 29.

thank you everyone! Great to know that I can just request the 10% coupon. I know baby jogger is an excluded brand on the 20% off coupons.

We ended up not using our 10% completion coupon b/c you can only use it in-store (we bought the stuff on amazon instead), but they send it to you about 6 weeks before the due date you put on your registry.

Can you combine 20% coupons with the 10% completion couypon?

i made a registry for myself also, to keep organzied.
i made my EDD 1 month before my actual EDD so I got the coupon with PLENTY of time to shop

It says it expires 3 months after your due date
