Did most of you have your names already picked out before you got pregnant or the minute you got pregnant you were thinking of names.. I have a couple names I like but my DH told me its to early to discuss names..

Re: Names
my dh was really uncomfortable discussing names until we found out the gender. It didnt bother me but for him, I guess he was superstisious.

We had a boy's name picked out before we were even pregnant. Girls names were much more difficult. I'm glad we're having a boy- makes it so much easier! If it was a girl we'd probably still be going back and forth.

Re: Names
I've had the name Reid picked out since I was 15/16 and we found out yesterday we're having a boy so I get to use it!!! DH agreed to it before we were pregnant.
We have 6 names total picked out and have had them picked out since we started trying. (3 of those names were names I picked out when I was younger and I'm lucky DH was on board!)
I don't think it's ever too early to think of names you like!!!

Re: Names
With DD1, we had a boys name picked out before we TTC but a girl's name was going to be hard. Naturally we had a girl, and she was nameless until I was 37w pg! It got a little ugly... but I won =)
With DD2, it's a little easier. We had a middle name set and are deciding between two first names.

Re: Names
We talk about names in passing, but aren't seriously considering names until after we find out the baby's gender in a couple of weeks.
We definitely didn't talk about names really early in my pregnancy b/c I was too nervous/superstitious, but if we heard a name in passing we liked, we'd kinda just mention it to each other.

Re: Names
No names going into it, no names on the table, and we're not even thinking about it until we find out the sex of the baby.
Middle names are determined though, since it will be after my mother or father, depending on girl or boy.

We pretty much had our names picked out before we were even pregnant. Boy name is easy for us since we're using DH's name

Re: Names
We didn't discuss names until we had a gender. Figured it'd be easier to only have to think of names for one sex!

Names
I had a name I loved that we discussed when we were dating. When we got pregnant, we agreed to talk about it after we found out the gender. When we found out girl first time, I said "so will she be Melina?" and he said "I don't really love that... how about Megan?" and I LOVED it so that was it and she was Megan. I mean, she is Megan.
Man, I miss having an easy time choosing a name!!!!
This time, we talked about it a little but very little until we found out the gender. But we found out at 12 weeks so we found out EARLY!
We still can't decide but are probably going with our favorite of the ones we've talked about. I find naming a boy so much harder. Funny how people differ on this!
Maybe keep a list for now of your favorites and when you find out the gender you can discuss. It's normal for you to want to think about it and talk about it. Girls love discussing names!

Re: Names
Um, with DD #1 we didn't pick her name until I was on the way to the hospital after my water broke. My DH said there was no way he was going in until we had chosen a name. We had narrowed it down to 5 before that.
With DD #2 we decided a little bit earlier but chose a name from the original list.
We are now on girl #3, and my sister used one of the remaining 3 on our original list. We are sneaking away from the girls this weekend and I plan on talking about it with DH on the car ride!

Re: Names
We talked about names before we got pregnant, but not seriously. I think we are pretty set with our boy name. He knows what girl name I love and he is just thinking if he really likes it. If he does, then we are set.

Re: Names
For our twins we started throwing names around right away (I was soooo excited). Once we found out the genders we talked more seriously. We probably had our first names picked out by 20 weeks middle names took a bit longer.
This pregnancy we started talking or shall I say DH had crossed names off my list. We are staying team and this time I am not telling anyone our final choice!

Nope. There were names I liked but that was it. I was convinced we were having a boy and we had a boys name before we even found out the gender. Then when we were told it's a girl, it took us awhile. There were names I liked he didn't and ones he liked but I didn't.

Re: Names
If it makes you feel any better, I am 32 weeks and we don't have names picked. With my DD we didn't choose a name until after she was born.
