So, at last night's 30-31 wk check up . . .

I endured a growth sono and confirmed Chat Icon . She is approx 3lbs 8ozs, which is right on track.

However, after the sono, the Dr called me back in b/c the fluid is low. Not dangerously low, but on the low end of normal.

I had a NST and was told I need another sono (Bio-Phyisical) and NST either Thur or Fri, but no later. Told I need to make sure I stay hydrated (i've been ok, but not great at drinking water) and also told to TAKE IT EASY!

Add to it that we're hoping to close on our house Fri, so that leaves just Thur.

I'm trying HARD not to freak out. My BFF (who works in the same office as me) is waiting on me grabbing my cup and water bottle to refill.

WORST case scenario, being that I am only going to be 31 wks tomorrow - I will have to be closely monitored = sono 2x a week. Chat Icon

I know it is easier said than done, but really try to rest up and take care of yourself. Let other people help you at work and at home and with the move, etc. drink your water and take it easy, and I hope that everything turns out ok! Chat Icon

Drink water!! Most of what you drink goes to make amniotic fluid. I have bottles of water scattered all over my house so when I'm chasing DD, I always have something to drink. It helps.

I had fluid issues with ds. If i drank an gallon and a half of water a day I could get my AFI to 11 at best. It was usually around 8. I ended up having to be induced for low fluid but not until 38w. Keep drinking it really does help. And try to put a box under your desk so you can sit with your feet up :)

my AFI was 6.8 last night.

I just hope it goes up and stays up. I'm selfish b/c I just don't know how I'll manage having to get sonos 2x a week, when we're moving to Baiting Hollow, I work in Hauppauge and closest sono place is Madonna (Brightwaters).

Honestly, I ultimately want my princess to be safe and healthy!

Re: So, at last night's 30-31 wk check up . . .

keep on drinking and rest!!!!

ive been on modified bed rest since 24 weeks - im 31w2d with TWINS. i had fluid issues (but that was b/c of the identical twins)

so def rest up and do minimal amount of moving about, bending over, picking stuff up.

even when you think you drank enough, keep drinking water!!!!!

I had gotten down to 7 at one point. I was told if I hit 5 they send me to the hospital for IV fluids and if that doesn't work then baby has to come out. I had to do the 2x a week for only one week. Once I showed I could keep my fluid up they dropped me to once a week. Chat Icon Chat Icon I know it sucks drinking all that water Chat Icon If it helps with my dd I was able to get late appointments in Brightwaters. I think I had like a 6pm apt. But I will say I always had higher levels in the morning then evening lol Chat Icon Chat Icon Good luck

Thank you for responding! I know Brightwaters has late appts (I usually go there) but not on Thur or Fri Chat Icon
The dr didn't seem TOO overly concerned - she stressed getting the sono Thu or Fri. I really am trying hard to drink! I ended up with just over 100ozs of water while I was at work
