Perhaps I am the last one to know this? Cleaning related
Okay so my DH decided to clean a portable grill in my bathtub. I KNOW...don't get me started on that one. MAN what a MESS that made. So in a deal I decided to clean the mess while he made dinner (that's how much I REALLY didn't want to cook  ) So because there was grease everywhere I decided to (or rather DH suggested) use dish detergent to clean the tub. While I was at it I used it to clean the rest of the tub. WOW!!! I guess I should have remembered that like dissolves like. It was the easiest time that I have ever had cleaning that awful tub. I didn't have to scrub or use any awful harsh chemicals which I hate using in my bathroom because it doesn't have any windows. From now on I am gonna wash the bathroom with dish soap.

It was a giant bottle of Gain dish soap. I think my DH got it from Ocean State Job Lot (do they have them in NY?) Either way I am sure you could probably use any dish soap. I had just never thought of it before.

I have read that too and actually tried it once with Dawn and it really does do a nice job.

I use Dawn to clean the tub before giving my son a bath every night. It's a quick wipe-down, but since it's antibacterial and safe for wild life, I feel very comfortable using it on the bathtub.
