I've been having pretty bad menstrual type cramps all day. Do you think it could be the beginning of labor?

I had really bad cramps Friday at 32.5 weeks, turns out I was dehydrated, drank a ton of water and put my feet up and the went away.

Definitely could be. How often are they coming?

They're pretty consistent - they don't seem to come and go. I've had them pretty much all day.

My sister said thats how her labor started. Mild menstrual cramps and they slowly became more intense.

When I was in labor all I felt (before the epi at least) were awful menstrual cramps once they broke my water. I was expecting contractions to feel much different but all I felt were cramps. This could maybe be it!

Yes!!!! I had them the day I delivered DS#3. Everyone kept telling me it was "normal" but as soon as I got to the hospital, they admitted me and he was born via c/s 2 hours later!

37 1/2 weeks - menstrual cramps?

I've had menstrual cramps for a few weeks now. Lower back aches. Hip pain. Strong contractions. Lots of BH. And nothing.

I'm 39+weeks pregnant.

Could be that but for SOME women, the cervix ripening and starting to efface or dilate can bring on menstrual-type cramps.
