early pregnancy symptoms
So I couldn't sleep last night. Went online. Looked up early symptoms. I had 11/17! I keep telling myself I'm only 6 dpo and it's too early and most of those symptoms can be explained by other things. Still I'm afraid I already got my hopes up. I'm going to be so disappointed if I get a BFN next week! Planning to test Saturday morning-11dpo. Think I'll get a true reading?

early pregnancy symptoms
please, please stop reading into symptoms. most of the early symptoms are misleading and could be caused by a number of other things, mainly your rising levels of progesterone. Try to keep the urge to POAS at bay until at least 13 or 14 days past O for an accurate reading. Sending lots of luck your way!

This.
Plus, at 6dpo your embryo wouldn't even have implanted yet so there'd be no way you could have symptoms already. I didn't have symptoms until after my BFP.

This. Last month, we BD'ed all around O time and then I had symptoms that I never had before and I was convinced I was pg. I had sore boobs from O day, cramps around 7DPO when implantation would occur, nausea, etc. I was so disappointed for psyching my self out when AF came. I hope this is it for you but you can't analyze every little twinge you feel. You will drive yourself crazy!

I've been doing the same exact thing for the past few days. On one site I had all of the symptoms that they listed. So of course in my mind I was convinced I am. I took two tests and both negative, so dissappointing. So now I'm trying to convince myself it's all just hormones, AF, etc., but it's hard to do so when I have a lot of the symptoms. Not a fun thing :) Best of luck to you!

Re: early pregnancy symptoms
We conceived on the second month trying. The first month I had every symptom and was convinced I was pregnant, BFN. The second month I had no symptoms at all, BFP!
Try not to read too much into symptoms.

I agree with a lot of this but not the symptoms part. With DS 1 I was sick a week before I got my bfp. I also was super emotional as well.

early pregnancy symptoms
you've convinced me. i'm reading into symptoms. now i'm thinking most of them mean AF is on her way. The cramping has been bad today, so i'm thinking it's not meant to be.

I really hope it's not AF and your symptoms are right on! In the end, it's still fun reading into symptoms even though we know there's a 50/50 chance either way. It's part of TTC. I will prob post next week about all my symptoms lol It just never ends.

lol. very true! (knowing me, i'll probably change my mind about what they mean a hundred more times before AF or a BFP show up!)

i think what we meant9sorry to speak for u girls lol) was that yes of course someone can have symptoms but not one is definite for one as it is others
so we just did nto want to belike oh yes u have sore boobs,u r def pregnant, kwim?
i think we just come from a place of many many cycles with meds and have thought we were pregnant millions of times and would have bet our life etc
but more important at 6 dpo odds r u r not implanted so there is nothing u could even feel pregnancy related

Re: early pregnancy symptoms
Hi Ladies! Now that I am finally pregnant I can add my 2 cents. Well, I had symptoms starting on 5 DPO. I didn't know they were symptoms, though, until after my BFP. The actual pregnancy symptoms were totally different than all the months I thought I was pregnant and just had PMS. I literally developed a bad stomach for three days, from 5 dpo - 8 dpo. Then, on 10 and 11 dpo, I woke up with swollen feet. I couldn't walk well for a few hours. These were totally weird pregnancy symptoms. Then, at 12 dpo when I got my BFP I started getting cramps, which I still have.
So, I think in the end, it's the type of thing where you don't know you are having symptoms until the BFP. Then, you can look back and go, that's what that was.

trust me you did not come off snooty! I know all of this is coming from a good place. and I also knew what response I would be getting when I wrote that. I think the rational part of my brain made me do it so that I would snap out of it.
Here's hoping we both win the fight with insomnia soon!

Agree with AP... IMO-- 6dpo to have any symptoms of pregnany IS VERY RARE
...it "usually" takes a few days for implantation to take place after conception (avg. 5-9). with that being said once implantation occurs then HcG is starting to be produced and your P4 levels start increasing. (thats what would make you have "symptoms" Lets just say on the OFF CHANCE you implanted the same day you concieved ---then maybe the symptoms your experiencing are from the progesterone increase... but pregnancy and AF symptoms after the 2ww are the same.
The mind is a very powerful tool and when you want something really badly your brain will make you think, feel and see things that maybe really aren't there. I would just sit back and try and relax for another week and then test...hopefully its a BPF!!
For 64 months I "thought" I was pregnant becuase of symptoms and when I actually did have my BFP's those were the actual 2 months where I didnt really have anything...the waiting is the worst, i know..but dont get yourself worked up over nothing yet...its too early...stay positive and hopeful
