actually, at around 10 weeks would be the earliest. but if you don't hear your baby's heartbeat this way, don't worry. it doesn't mean that anything is wrong, its just too early. when I was 10w they first used the Doppler and I was able to hear the LO hb

After the first trimester the doctor started using hte doppler. During the first trimester he used the sono.

my first 2 appts (7w and 11w) was an internal sono - she told me the doppler will be used at every visit from now on...my next one is scheduled for 15w

This pg they listened at my 12 week visit and after a little searching around we were able to hear the hb. Last pg my doctor didn't even try to listen until 16 weeks. I think before then it can be easy to miss and they don't want to stress out pregnant women!

we heard the HB with a doppler just shy of 10 weeks & every appointment after that

we tried at 10 weeks, too early.
they didnt try at 12 weeks but that was because I had a sono and HB was confirmed.
I guess at 16 weeks!

With this pregnancy, I heard the heartbeat at 10 weeks. With DS and DD I heard the heartbeat at 12 weeks.
