Remind me again...When can the Dr. hear the HB with the doppler ?
I have my first Ob appt. today ( after being released from the RE  )...
I am 9w 4d
Will they even attempt to hear the HB ? If not, what do they do at my appt

at my first OB apt, he did an internal sono, took my medical history (and family medical history), i asked questions & he spoke a little bit about what to expect from the next few apts

They might try at 9 weeks. At one of my 11 week appts they said not to worry if we didn't hear it, but we did.

On the doppler or was it internal ??
We heardthe HB internally at my RE at 7 weeks, but I wasn't sure if an OB does the internal wand as well

My OB didn't. The first time my OB used the doppler I believe I was close 12/13 weeks.

We heard the heartbeat on the doppler at 12 weeks......at 8 weeks we heard it internally.

Doppler is at 12 weeks. Only with an internal sono can they hear/see the heartbeat at 9 weeks.
I just had a midwife appt. today (I'm a little over 5 weeks) and she did an internal exam, pap smear, and bloodwork.

I saw the OB at 10 weeks (after being released from the RE) and they did a regular sono (not internal) and they heard the heartbeat. I also heard it before I left the RE.
