If I change the garbage it gets liner
If Dh takes out garbage..no liner
That is the way it is done in my house too.

Same here. I purposely go to the Stop and Shop by me because they are brown plactic bags and my garbage pail is brown wicker

No liner in our tiny bathroom garbage. I hate the way the bag looks sticking out around the sides. And after we empty it, we usually spray a bit of lysol in there and whipe it out with a paper towel.

i use a plastic bag. i keep extras on the bottom so that when i empty it, there is always one there. i do this in the kitchen as well.
