Any experience with Pregnancy-induced Sleep Apnea?
If you have/had it, who evaluated you for it? Did you have to go through your OB first?
Did you get a CPAP machine or some other type of treatment?
I appreciate anything you can share about your experience.
Also, any tips on how to get through until I get evaluated/prescribed a treatment.
TIA! -----------------------------------------------
Background: I'm asking b/c after having symptoms for a few nights, I'm getting nervous that this is what I have. Of course, I'm realizing it on a Saturday, when no one's really be available.
I had a sleep study years ago where I was on the borderline for it. These past few nights, it's been getting worse. Last night was torture. I got practically no sleep.
The symptoms happen even if I'm sleeping on my left side (although it's worse on my right side). The waking-up gasping is extremely frequent.
I got a little bit of sleep by propping myself into a seated position, but it still happens somewhat in that position, and it's a very uncomfortable position for my back & belly.
I'm also extremely congested and have trouble breathing throughout the day, having to "sigh-breathe" frequently, like there's a weight on my chest. I had spoken to my OB about the daytime breathing and he said it's just normal, esp for carrying twins. But I haven't told him about the night-time problems yet.
Ugh, feeling miserable.
