Honeymoon in Hawaii?
Anyone have advise for a Honeymoon in Hawaii?
I'm getting married in April 2013 and I'm looking to book now and figured this was a GREAT place to get advise.
Also, if you have a Travel Agent you really liked, please advise. Thanks!

Honeymoon in Hawaii?
I recommend tripadvisor.com for expertise. But we went to Hawaii and stayed in Kauai and Maui. The hotels were the Grand Hyatt Kauai and the Four Seasons In Maui. If you can splurge, I highly recommend those two hotels. I personally don't use travel agents.

Thanks, we are looking for the Grand Hyatt Kauai too! But the Grand Wailea in Maui. I'm going to check out a website and then see what the Travel Agent can do. I just want someone to direct me on things and help me if the hotel messes up LOL

We stayed at teh Grand Wailea and it was amazing. I didn't use a travel agent booked everything myself, there was no price difference bu using the travel agent.

Re: Honeymoon in Hawaii?
We stayed on those same two islands in also the Grand Hyatt in Kauai and the 4 seasons in Maui...wow!!! Highly recommend both! I had priced out thru 3 travel agents and was getting prices higher than doing it all myself! We went in '08 and by booking myself, we saved $2000!!! FM me with any questions! We went to San Diego for 2 nights first at the Hotel Del Coronado, and did Vegas in the way home for 3 nights to break up the trip! As far as tours, we had rented a Jeep and brought our own GPS with us...lifesaver! We booked everything on our own directly thru the companies, and often times, got discounts for doing so! I highly recommend the no door helicopter tour in Kauai with Jack Harter Helicopters...AMAZiNG experience! We also got a discount for booking online! Have a great time!

Re: Honeymoon in Hawaii?
I went to Hawaii. Had an AMAZING time.
Spent 2 nights in Oahu at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach.
After that, we went spent 5 nights in Maui and stayed at the Fairmont Kea Lani. The nicest hotel I've EVER been to in my life. I would recommend it to anyone. It was literally amazing and my DH and I didn't want to leave...ever.
Lastly, we spent 5 days in Kauai at the Grand Hyatt. Also nice, but no Fairmont.
If you got to Maui, I highly recommend the Feast at Lele. The food is good, tables are private (no huge communal tables with strangers) and the view is AMAZING.
Let me know if you want any other dinner/excursion advice after you book!

Honeymoon in Hawaii?
I went in April, back in 09. Did Hyatt in Maui and Kauai. Maui was low key and I loved it. Kauai was a little more stuffy for my taste but gorgeous! Also highly recommend the Jack Harter helicopter tour....and renting an open air jeep.... AND bringing GPS from home. Wish I knew about the Feast at Lele. I skipped the luau bc i hated the idea of communal seating.

We stayed at the Fairmont Kea Lani is Maui and loved it.
We stayed at the Princeville in Kauai - it was nice, but not convenient.
In Oahu we stayed at the Halekulani and it was amazing!
One of the best things we did was sunrise at Haleakala then bike ride down. We did it the first night since we weren't adjusted to the time difference yet and you need to get up super early - it was perfect.

Re: Honeymoon in Hawaii?
When u figure out which islands you are getting get the revealed books(there is one for every island) the tell you about everything and then some. I'm going to Hawaii in a few weeks and all my excursions I got from these books. Plus they have apps for the iPad so I get gps directions for many hiddened hideaways!
