Need Your Advice

I am not to positive if I will be breast feeding or not. I am going to try in the hospital and see how I feel about it and go from there.

Should I take a breastfeeding class before the baby is born anyway, this way if I do decide to stick with it, I will be prepared? Or should I just see how it goes in the hospital and take it from there?

I think part of being successful is being prepared for it. While bf is natural it doesn't come to natural to everyone so absolutely take the class it can't hurt.

I would take the class. Preparation really seems to be an important part of helping you to succeed with breast-feeding.

Thanks ladies! You're all right. i am going to take the class. For the few extra dollars, I'm sure it will be worth it.

I totally understand how you feel! I really wasn't sure how I felt either way. I took the class and I am so glad that I did. I feel like I am more ready now to tackle whever is thrown at me! Almost like I "know" what to expect and how to handle that.

I'd take a class or at least read up on it to give yourself some helpful hints. I dont know if you'll have much luck BFing in the hospital since your milk doesnt usually come in right away. I BF a little in the hospital to get DD to latch on but really my milk didnt come in til about 6-7 days after she was born so we had to give her some bottles until then.

take the class, I took it at BRU at one of their free seminars and I cant tell you how informative it was and breast feeding will be overwhelming to you at the hospital, def something you want to be prepared and well informed on prior too delivery.
