RE Recommendation

Hi...we have been trying to concieve for about 1 year. We were thinking of going to an RE to have everything checked- we are very nervous. I live in Eastern LI. Does anyone have a good RE in this area? Thank you so much! Also what should I expect at this appointment?

Re: RE Recommendation

I just started going to reproductive specialist of ny in stonybrook and saw far I've been happy. The first appt involves going through yours and your dh's history then bloodwork and a sono. They had me have my Obgyn fax over whatever tests they had run. Dr Halfen is my dr. Good luck.

We just started with RSNY stonybrook. I have seen Dr. Halfen and Dr. San Roman. I like them.

Re: RE Recommendation

Thank you so much!!! I am in between gynos bc I wanted to change before I got pregnant. Do you need to be referred to an RE by a gyno or can I just make an appointment. I have been using OPKs and temping - and all of that shows that I am def. ovulating.

Re: RE Recommendation

Call your insurance company. Mine required certain tests to be run before I switched to an RE and since it's a specialist I needed referrals.

Re: RE Recommendation

I was a patient at LI IVF (melville office) and recently switched to RSoNY. I am having my first consultation Aug 15th. I already knew I had issues going into TTC, so once we were *officially* ready, I sought out help from an RE.

best of luck on your journey Chat Icon
