Another Name Poll

So I know these are a bit different, but wanted to get a quick check on if they are too different and if most folks just think Harper is the safest...

DD is set to arrive Saturday, so we need to decide! DS's name is Harrison.

Oh, the middle name will be Francesca regardless of first name...

I like them all but for me Harper and Harrison would be too matchy-matchy, so I would go with Pippa or Olive.

Yep they are different, but sort of remind me of celebrity or celebrity kids' names...

Harper is one of Victoria Beckham's kids names I believe.

Olive is the kid of Isla Fisher and Sascha Baron Cohen of Borat...

And Pippa of course is Kate Middelton's sis...

So if you don't mind ppl thinking that you "copied" a celebrity, then I'd say go for Olive.

But my suggestion would be maybe as someone else said... to name Olivia and call "Olive" for short.

Or even do something like Penelope and call her "Pippa" as a nickname. (Though Kourtney Kardashian just named her kid Penelope!!!)

Wow, the only one I was familiar with as being the same was Pippa, Kate Middleton's sister...never really followed what the Beckham's or even Borat named their kids!

I liked Olive since "Little Miss Sunshine". Not a fan a huge fan of Olivia, feel like it is so common now, and that is what we are trying to avoid a little. I also think of the pig on Nick Jr.!

Thanks for all the input...I think we will keep thinking, now we are tossing around Kennedy and Piper.

I love Harper, It's actually on our girls name list. It's a pretty popular celebrity name right now, I think I heard Tiffany Theissen also saw it was her daughters name the other day. I love Pippa, too! Have you thought of Hazel? It goes well with Harrison, it's also on our short list too.

honestly? i don't like any of them. I never liked Pippa - always reminded me of Pippy Longstockings. I just think it sounds kinds dumb, i'm sorry.
Olive, its ok if you name Olivia, which you mentioned you weren't crazy about, and then used Olive for short. I agree, she will get picked on mercilessly because kids and adults are and will be cruel. Unfortunately, its a way of life for some people and as much as we try to shelter our kids, we can't keep them from getting hurt from everyone.
Not a fan of Harper either, reminds me of Harpo the clown. But, if I had to pick from all 3, i would go with this one.
I feel kennedy is much more of a masculine name and a girly sounding one, unless you aren't going for a girly name to begin with...

Just some food for thought if you are calling for your kids and you say (say it outloud). Olive Harrison it sounds like you are saying "I love Harrison. "

I guess that I would go with Harper. Someone in our family has five girls...Heather, Haley, Heidi, Hannah & Hope. If they ever have another girl they will name here Hadleigh or Harper. Best wishes to you!!!

Harper is becoming a very popular name lately. I know 5 people whove named their daughter that in the past year. And the beckhams.
Definitely dont like pippa for the connection to pippa middleton.
For me, olive would be the only runner.
Piper reminds me of sarah palins daughter.
Sorry to be so negative! I like hazel because theres no connections to celebs/pseudo celebs.

I like Harper. Olive is cute but I think too cutesy for an adult. Maybe name her Olivia then call her Olive? And Pippa just demands to be called out in a high pitched British accent.

I think Olive is adorable, I would use it if it didn't sound so bad with our last name. I'm not sure if you'd be setting the kid up to get picked on or not. Kids are creative, they can make fun of almost any name so I'm not sure how much I'd let that stop me.

Harper or Olive. Pippa is a nickname for Phillipa, so if I was going that route, I'd give her the full name.
