Women who have 2 plus children
Was it hard being prego with baby # 2 while having another child running around?
Was it hard having two children compared to one?

Re: Women who have 2 plus children
I only have one but everyone I know with 2 or two on the way says YES. Only thing I heard on the positive side is going from 1 to 2 is easier than 0 to 1 bc you are not in such shock but yes being pregnant with a toddler is hard if you are , queasy, tired, unable to play as much, lift as much etc. . having two kids means if you and your spouse are out, you both still have one instead of trading, naps don't mean a time out from kids necessarily unless they are synced. . but when they get older they play together which helps. .
okay of course all that is from someone with only one so take it all with a grain of salt and let the real experts speak up but these are all the things I worry about!
still going for it though!

Re: Women who have 2 plus children
yes it's hard....my first was only 14months old when i got pregnant with the next....there were days that i laid on the couch with yo gabba gabba on the tv and moaned with what i like to call "all day sickness" yes i didn't have morning sickness with either of my dc's i had "all day sickness" usually felt better by the time i was ready to go to sleep and so i moaned on the couch while my poor baby stared at the tv most of the day.....but can't be too bad if I'm ttc-ing for a third lol.....seriously though it is hard but not impossible....some days were worse than others.....now it will be interesting having to get up and take my oldest to school and have one at home and one that will be giving me "all day sickness" lol ....just praying it will be a different pregnancy possibly with no sickness.....not holding my breath though lol....good luck!!!!!

Re: Women who have 2 plus children
I am trying to #3 now but I did not find it hard going from 1 to 2 and I did not find it hard being pregnant with #2 while #1 was running around.
Now I have been VERY fortunate and have had wonderful/easy pregnancies/newborn&infants. They are also 15months apart so they kind of grew up together.
They are now 3yrs7months & 2yrs4months and they are OFF THE WALL!!! They are very active toddlers. I think it's harder now at this age but managable. I try to find my happy place alot
It all goes by so fast though and you start to forget. We're trying for #3 so it can't be that bad

im on my 4th- yes, its difficult, but doable. You may need to ask for help some days and SO will need to be prepared to help out too.

Re: Women who have 2 plus children
yes it was hard. I am a mom of two. I got pregant with my second when my dd was 17 months old. I had terrible morning sickness the second time around so i was a walking zoombie. I felt terrible i couldnt give my dd the attention she needed/deserved. I tried my best though. Now that my ds is here (5 months old) the transition isnt as hard as i thought. Good luck

I could've written this, except it was Elmo's World DVDs over here. I'm 22w pg with #2. I had the worst "all day sickness" for months with this pregnancy. Good times with a toddler.
It's both harder and easier. Easier b/c I don't have time to Google every twinge, and I don't need to; I kind of know what to panic over. It's harder because I can't take naps or snack whenever the urge strikes. I have a very helpful DH and parents, so we're ok... and tentatively talking about TTC #3!

Re: Women who have 2 plus children
Not for me. My oldest was in nursery school when I was preggo with #2. #2 was and still is very quiet and calm; rarely cried as a baby.

Re: Women who have 2 plus children
I found the second time to be MUCH easier! I remember saying, I thought it was so much harder the first time around...
Being pregnant with younger kids was a bit tougher because they don't understand if you dont feel well or have a hard time bending down or holding them as much.
One piece of advice that someone told me that I found invaluable was that once the new baby comes, if both the baby and the older child need something at the same time, always go to the older child at first so they dont build resentment- the baby wont remember- however this only works for so long!

Re: Women who have 2 plus children
Crashing as I'm not ttc right now. I have two girls 22 month apart. I didn't find being pregnant with number 2 that hard. Yes I was exhausted but I was exhausted with number 1. I did need more help towards the very end. I would ask dh to give dd a bath because leaning over the tub being 9 month pregnant was rough. I think when dd2 arrived that is when it became hard. My littlest is going to be 8 weeks and I'm finally getting into a good schedule. I definitely need more help than I did with just one. I do agree though it's easier to go from 1 to 2 than it was 0 to one. You're just much more relaxed with number 2, you have knowledge you didnt with number 2.
