how much was it to ship ur furniture?

dh saw a great deal at bru on furniture...buy 2 pieces and get the crib 50 percent off

so we would do that plus buy another crib so 4 items total

came to 1800...great price

then we look at shipping..it is 600 bucks???

could that be??? does everyone pick up the furniture or should i be prepared to spend that!

IDK ab the cribs but the dresser and chest is $150 to ship but Im not getting it from a baby furnitire store.
$600 seems outrageous to me but Im curious to know what others have seen.

I ordered mine from BRU commack store and delivery was only $85. I saw some great deals on their site, but I refused to pay that much in delivery fees.

Are you looking online? Order it through the store. The pieces are delivered to the store and then u can pick it up or have it delivered to you. They use local delivery trucks. I think ours was $100 from the store (for 3 pieces). This is BRU in College Point.

I ordered the crib, the 5 drawer dresser, and the double dresser. I ordered it in the store and then scheduled a delivery date with them. When I ordered the girl told me delivery would be $85 but they later on tried to change the price to $139 I told them I was originally told $85 so they honored that price.

ETA: when you order in the store make sure to use the 20% off coupons off each of your pieces. We saved a few hundred dollars by using the coupons.

Where are you ordering from? When I looked online at BRU it was like $450 shipping. Pottery Barn was also like $100 per item.

It might be that they just tack on the shipping later and thats why it seemed cheaper. Like other stores charge shipping in the price already then charge minimal delivery.

Both said it went by where you lived but Behrs was $125 and they were waiving it and BBB was $100. Both were for 3 pieces- 2 dressers adn a hutch.

Gina...I think if you order the furniture in the store you can get the same deal and the shipping is a lot less than online. Tell them you want the same deal that you saw online and they should honor it.

Don't forget to order the toddler rail and conversion kit for the crib just in case they discontinue the crib by the time you need those items.

ETA: Def use the 20% off coupons for each piece. If you need any coupons let me know and I will see if I have some that have not expired and mail them to you.

it was bru...they put shipping on at the end like in any other order and the shipping alone was 600 dollars,i was just surprised it was that much

so total was 2400


but ordering a diff brand the shipping went down to 150

Def go to the store! I got mine at BBB and they delivered and assembled it for either $50 or $75 total.

can you order directly from the store? we got furniture from BRU and the delivery charge was $150 (although you could have picked up yourself for free- i just dont have a big enough truck)

What brand is it? Look on Walmart.com and see if they carry it. They have a lot of baby furniture on their site, and a lot of it ships for free or for .97 cents. You'd just have to be willing to put it together yourselves.

Jcp had free shipping and when they showed up to the house my mother offered them $40 to put the crib together and they did!

We picked up ours at BRU but for all 3 pieces it was going to be 100-150, 600 is alot.
