My DS who will be 3 next month had to go for a chest xray today cause he has an upper respiratory infection that wont go away, the doctor told me it looks like he has a case of scolisis on top of that. He had to take a couple more xrays and my ped will be in contact

Does anyone kids have it? Is it treatable so young?

I havent noticed anything wrong, his back looks fine to me. I even work in a chiropractors office and my boss was shocked about it.

Im hoping it was just because he wasnt sitting up straight or something.

I have it and so does my sister. Never stopped us from doing anything. It also depends on how bad it is

I have scoliosis in my upper spine. I slouch terribly so Im working on posture and keeping my shoulders back.

other than that, im perfectly fine. His degree of curvature doesnt sound too bad if no one can notice it.

I had it as a child and it wasnt caught/diagnosed until I was 12. By then it was so bad I had to have surgery.

I would think 3 is too young to find it...usually school nurses do not do screenings until 5th or 6th grade.
