I'm back....FET coming up.
Hi everyone, didn't think I was going to post but I decided that I needed the support :)
Some of you may know me from a few years ago. I did IVF twice, second time with ICSI which resulted in my son who will be 3 in a few weeks.
DH and I have decided to go ahead with an FET; we have 4 embies. I will be 35 this week so my RE said we will thaw two and if they both survive the thaw, put them both back in. I have PCOS and have been on Glumetza for a while but just switched back to good old Metformin which helps me to lose weight faster and which I was on last time around. I've seen a nutritionist and have been trying to eat right for a few months now but seriously the scale is not budging. I am about 50 lbs overweight for my height but my RE said he would prefer if I can lose at least 10-15 prior to my FET. (I'm 5'2"). When I got PG with my son I was 20lbs lighter than I am now. Combine post-baby weight and PCOS and I'm feeling like a whale. Well, my FET is coming up end of August / early September and so now the pressure is on. With a 3 year old at home and the fact that I work full time, I seriously cannot squeeze in gym time. I do try to walk on my lunch break if I can and after dinner with the family. I've been taking cinnamon (capsules) per the nutritionist's recommendation - supposed to help with metabolism, flax seed gelcaps, omega fish oil, calcium with D and prenatals. My RE also put me on a thyroid med once a day because my bloodwork showed I have a deficiency which I did NOT have prior to having my DS - sometimes this develops after pregnancy. Right now I am on the pill to regulate my cycle and I am about to start my second pack to continue with the active pills. I've been spotting brown though which the nurse said could be because I'm near the end of the active pills. I will be doing acupuncture once a week for the month of August and also the laser acu the day of my transfer. I did that last time as well.
I don't know what the point of my post is...just wanted to jump back in to the pool and pray for success again...my son was / is just a miracle to me there are days that I am like - is it possible God will grant me with another miracle?
Anyway, that's my story and hope to see lots of BFPs here soon (including mine)!

Best wishes! I have pcos...I find high protein low carb has helped me.

My 3 year old DD is from IVF and my 3 month old son is from a FET of an embie from the IVF cycle I conceived my daughter. If it makes you feel any better I am 37 and also overweight. I developed Hashimotos (hypothyroidism) after DD was born and take synthroid. I put back only one embie in both of my cycles and got very lucky to have conceived both times. Best of luck!

Thank you - yes it does make me feel better seriously lol...that's awesome, congrats!  See we are putting back 2 - because first time around, I did a failed cycle then the 2nd cycle we got pg with 2 but only my son grew past 6 weeks. So we are figuring on taking a chance....here we go...
