Any other moms take their kids here? I was looking for feedback. They have 6 different doctors. I am open to recommendations of other doctors as well, I just don't see many other pediatricians in the Riverhead area and this is nice and close to home Chat Icon

Re: Peconic Pediatrics

They're great. Pretty much everyone I know out here with kids uses them. We alternate between seeing Dr. Shaer and Dr. Meah. I've also seen Michelle, who is the PA.

Me too! I see Dr. Shaer or Michelle, mainly Michelle lately. They're wonderful!

Re: Peconic Pediatrics

I use them!

I generally see Dr. Meah for wellness visits, I saw Dr. Lao once and Dr. Shaer once. I like them all!

When DD was about 3 months old I went in for a wellness visit in the afternoon and DD was SCREAMING. Dr. Meah took her from me and showed me a few ways to comfort her and told me she thought she had colic. She then periodically called me at home (even on Saturdays) to check on me and make sure I was okay Chat Icon

I thought that was GREAT for a doctor to do especially for a new Mom! So, that is why I've been pretty stuck to Dr. Meah! But, I highly recommend the entire practice!

I went once for a lactation consultation and loved them. It's great that they do that and it's covered by insurance. If they were closer to me, I'd definitely go there for regular visits.

Re: Peconic Pediatrics

That's where we take DS. We really like the practice. We usually like to see Dr. Shaer for DS well visits. When it's a sick visit it's kind of who ever is the sick visit person that day but we really like Dr. meha as well and the NP so that's been fine as well. I've called to ask advice or random questions and I think I have spoken to dr. Meha the most over the phone and she has been wonderful and understanding and so patient when I've had a million questions.
