Spirit Airlines Big Front Seats
My family and I are traveling to Jamaica in Sept and like an idot I bought a Spirit Vacation. Only after buying the trip have I found out about them. Our trip is Los Angeles to Jamaica with a 3 hr layover in Ft Lauderdale, FL. I found out they cancled the conecting flight and now I have a 9 hour layover in Ft Lauderdale. The creeps tell me "Oh, we'll let you cancle and we won't even charge you for it." The nerve! I bought Big Front Seats, has anyone ever used the Big Front Seats and what is your opnion about the best row for them? Row 1? Row 2? I know they don't have a built in foot rest or do they? What row would you choose 1, 2 or 3? Thanks very much for any ideas you have!

If row 1 is bulkhead, I would choose that if you have kids or are tall. More leg room!

Thank you so much for your reply! I am hoping someone has sat in these seats or even if they have seen the seats or can remember which row is the best. It seams the only thing the airline is willing to do for me is let me choose what seats we are in. I paid for them so it's not like they are doing anything for me anyway. Thanks again, any info is helpful!

Row 1 you have a wall in front of you and you have to put your personal bag in the overhead since there is no seat for it to go under (think about every me you want something from your pocket book having to go into the overhead). I believe the tray tables are also built into the armrest if I remember correctly.
Row 2 is just like any airplane seat/row, just bigger seat with more leg room.

I haven't sat in them but I think any row is fine. The bulkhead will give you more room like pp said. They are better than the other seats - there is no legroom at all.
I hate them. They are a horrible airline and when they screw you there isn't much recourse. The people at the ticket counter refer you to customer service and vice versa and the people in customer service are morons.

I am 5'8' and I do not like the bulkhead seats. You have less room IMHO unless you get the ones that have no wall in front of you. The ones you are talking about have a wall in front of you so no where to stretch your legs. Also you will have to put your things in the overhead bins because there is no where to put your bags. I greatly prefer the 2nd row etc. This way you could put bags in the overhead but keep your purse with you under the seat in front of you. You can also stretch your feet straight in front of you under the seat. I have flown in those seats but not since 2004.

This. I'm not sure why people think a bulkhead gives you more room? The wall actually gives you LESS leg room because you can't put your feet under a seat if your tall. Exit rows always has more leg room but then you may not have a seat that reclines. Check out Seatguru for comprehensive info on all airline seats.

You are all such wonderful people!!!!! I can't believe I finally got answers back! I have search everywhere and here I finally got people to talk to me! I'm so thankful to all of you. God bless the internet because I live in california and East Coast people are the best. Wished I live out there where people care about each other. Here everyone only cares about themselves and how they look. Dont walk down the steet without a modle figure, hair & nails done and tons of make up to the nines! Phoney Phoney Phoney and plastic surgery, Lipo & nose jobs for teenagers! BLAH! it's terrible!

Does anybody know if the Big front seats recline?????? I know the others don't! Gawd and you imagine! yes this airline is the worst company and not just airline company I'm talking about all company's!!! I'm serious. I still can'r believe I gave them my hard earned money. Never never again! If I had alot of money I would buy TV commercials WARNING the poor people who think they are getting a good price! NOT! I better stop before I say a bad word and they aren't worth any more of my time! Except I have to fly with them in September they wont give me any choices after they changed my 2 hour layover to a 9 hour layover. No compensaion what so ever! Just a "To Bad For You!"

They cancelled my Tuesday flight due to "weather" - after they told the people on board it was mechanical originally so they didn't have to offer any sort of compensation to us. They couldn't rebook us on a flight until SATURDAY! My DH was at our destination already (he drove, it is a 12 hr drive), and I was travelling with ILs and my two small kids and was LIVID. They booked us out of another airport 3 hrs away the next morning but, we had to pay for accomodations and stuff. And we had to rent a car because we would be returning to the original airport. They did nothing for us. They put me on hold to see what they could do and I know they were just speaking with other customers.
Not sure if the big front seats recline - I hope they do!

Spirit is the worst.. not sure about them though. I know the other seats have zero leg room. It pisses me off that I have to pay extra for everything with that airline. I only use them because they go direct to Myrtle Beach from LGA, and thank goodness it's only a 1 hr and 20 min flight.
