Re: BTDT ... work related.
As of now I plan to work until I go into labor, to maximize my maternity leave. But easy to say now- who knows how I'll feel at 39 weeks!

Re: BTDT ... work related.
I worked until one week before my due date. I was also commuting to Manhattan - 30 minute LIRR and 30 minute subway. My last day of work was St. Patrick's Day and I was so happy to never get on the train again (for those of you who have had the joy of drunk teens at 7AM!).
At the time, I said to everyone - what a waste, I wish I had gone to work because I was just sitting around anxiously waiting for the baby to come. After the baby arrived, I was so annoyed at myself for not enjoying that week! Once the baby comes, that's it, you're on and there's little to no time to turn off. It's an experience that no words can prepare you for - or at least I was completely unprepared for what waking every 2-3 hours actually meant. So, if you can take a week - I say go for it, as long as you can enjoy it!!

Re: BTDT ... work related.
I had a c/s scheduled on Monday the 16th. I planned to work until that Friday. I ended up working up until the 9th and my water broke the morning of the 10th. With my first pregnancy, I was taken out of work 1 month early so I was glad I made it until the end this time.
