I can't even ...so upset with my OB

the office just called me , they said my OB is not available to do a CS until the day before my due date, so either schedule that and if you go in labor before that who ever is on call does it OR schedule with a different OB (Gilbert or Alkasaab, have only seen each of them once ) at 39 weeks .
First visit - after he took a look at my history of CS complications and cardiac issues I have had - was " I am going to do your CS , not letting anyone else touch you" then 30 weeks of " try to make all the appts with me" and all over sudden he is NOT available to do my CS at 39 weeks and I have to wait to the last minute.
I just can't deal ... I just want to have ONE stress free pregnancy and delivery, is that too much to ask ?!

I'm sorry, that's really frustrating. I'd call and ask to speak to your doctor directly or leave a message for them to call you. They may not even be aware that the staff is giving you this response and the staff might not know your situation.

wow, i don't blame you for being irritated by them! hopefully they'll find a time for your OB to do the cs

i'm so sorry you have to go through this! i think, in the end, i would schedule it with your OB just to avoid complications and because i would feel safer and more comfortable with him

Is your OB going to be there maybe sometime during the 38 week mark where you can do it a day or two early than the 39 weeks? I would ask him and try to schedule that. I know they like to wait for 39 weeks now, but at 38 weeks they can do it, you may need an amnio to confirm the lung development, but they still do it earlier if that would be an option for you.

i am so sorry, that stinks, i would def speak with him directly but also try to meet with one of the other docs who would be doing it

Update:

I ended up scheduling a CS a week before my due date w another OB in the group. She is supposed to be one of the best drs there. Not high risk , but... I also set up bunch of appts w her next few weeks . So it's done. Very disappointed and upset by how this whole thing went down, but I can't let this high risk OB ruin the rest of my pregnancy and stress me out like that, not wasting any more time with an OB who doesn't keep his word and leaves you hanging like this... so I made what I think is the best decision for me and my family.
I have no one else but myself to blame, I should have switched few weeks ago when I realized that this OB has a memory of a gold fish and he doesn't remember or care about anything when it comes to his patients (or at least me)
so it's done, it is what it is, I just have to stay positive and enjoy the rest of my pregnancy

Thanks for letting me vent and share here and for all the kind words, I know to some it may not be a big deal, but considering my history it is to me. So thanks for understanding
