Those who have siblings TTC...should I do something?
PLEASE do not move this to infertility or TTC as my sister is over there and I don't want her seeing this.
My sister is my best friend and an amazing Aunt to my boys. Her and my BIL have been trying to TTC for over a year now (in fact I got pregnant and had DS #2 while they were still TTCing). I am so blessed and only hope that my sister gets pregnant soon (she is already going to RE,etc).
where I need help is, should I do something for her besides just being a shoulder to cry on? She was so bummed yesterday and I wanted to hug her, but rarely do I get to see her without my boys in tow, and while I know she loves them, I fear sometimes they are a constant reminder.
Also, should I send flowers? cookies, etc?
My heart breaks for her so much. They would be amazing parents. I think this year it will happen, but she is so precious to me (my little sister) that I hate seeing her go through this.
Any tips, advice, thanks!!

Just be a shoulder for her to lean on. Dont tell her "i know it will happen soon" let her be the one to say it. I have my twins now after a LONG, LONG journey & although it did hurt to be around kids...I hated all the comments that went along with it. INfertility is a LONG, hard road & until you travel it, you just cant imagine how hard it is. Going to drs, giving yourself daily shots...its hard. Why don't you offer to go with her in the am to drs & show your support. When she is in mid cycle there are times she will have to go everyday.

totally agree. just being there is enough. even a card to say you're there for her would be appreciated. I also agree that offering to go with her for an appt would be nice as well. It's very sweet that you're thinking of her in this time and i'm sure she knows it.

I had a similar situation with my best friend...we have been friends since kindergarden so she is like my sister after years of trying and a misscarriage she was very down
I got her a "Fertility doll" off of ebay for like 5 dollars, its an old indian traditional. She loved it and kept it in her pocketbook until she finally got pregnant a couple months later...i gave it to her one day at dinner with a card

I agree with the pp..be there for her and listen. Don't tell her it will happen one day. If she likes to talk about the treatments she is going through listen to her and ask questions so she knows you care. If you can go to any of her appts just to keep her company and do some girly things without the kids I'm sure that will help too. Lots of prayers for your sister.

Do nothing, except be an ear/shoulder for her.
Follow her lead, I she wants to talk, listen. IF is an extremely painful journey.
