Short sale question..
I found a short sale on MLSLI. I called the realtor over a month ago and she said it was in contract. She took my name and # and told me she would call me if it fell through.
It's still on MLSLI. I don't understand why it shows up as available if it is in contract? Are the listing rules different for short sales than for other homes?
TIA

Re: Short sale question..
yes
as an agent I find it extremely annoying
we are suppose to list them PBA (pending bank approval) when we go into contract
I put then UC most of the time if I have a solid deal and want to aviod the calls
they will still show up as available to you- while as an agent I see PBA

Short sale question..
Thanks Beth. This particular one has been PBA for about 8 months which to me, sounds like a long time.

Re: Short sale question..
6 to 9 months is average these days
6 being on the quick end
the banks are very backed up - and if there are 2 banks that can take even longer
