anything to recommend doing in a day trip to martha's vineyard?!?!
first time going to the cape...
we have 3 kiddies - 5ys, 3.5 yrs, 7 months
we are staying for a week in Hyannis.
we have a day trip to Provincetown as well..and plan on doing a whale watching tour there...(and Lobster pot for dinner)
But we also want to do a day trip to Martha's by ferry..
so i am guessing whatever we do prob should be walking distance from the ferry port..
any suggestions?!?!

The ferry will leave you off in Oaks Bluff. The Flying horse carousel is on our must-do list every time we go to the Vineyard and it's right in Oaks Bluff. There is a ton of shopping there near the ferry port but you can take a short bus ride to anywhere on the island. Also, you should try out the Black Dog Tavern when you're over there.
we live in Sandwich on the Cape year round . If you have time, check out Heritage gardens here in Sandwich, They have a kids garden called Hidden Hollow with tons of outdoor musical instruments, puppet theater, craft stations and a huge brand new tree house!

Thanks for the rec. in Sandwich...my brother lives there too, but has no kids so he hasn't suggested it to us!
