How many oz is your 5-6 week old taking?
Dc is 5 weeks old and I'm not sure how many oz she is up too bc I'm nursing what is average for this age?

DD is taking about 4-5 oz. every 2-3 hours. Sometimes she's still hungry after that and I'll give her another ounce or two.

My dd is 6 weeks and avgs 3.5 oz of expressed breastmilk per feeding. I feed her on demand so whether that be 2 hrs later or 5...

I mainly nurse DS (5 weeks old) but when I pump and bottle feed he is taking 3oz every 2 hours.

My DS must be a piggy- he is just over 3 weeks and now can drink up to 6 oz every 4 hours plus an "appetizer" of BF'ing to start lol

The amount they take depends a lot on weight. My small baby was not expected to take as much as bigger babies. A doctor will probably tell you that as long as they are gaining it is okay. They will do weight checks if you are not sure, or at least mine did.

With a pumped bottle, DD (6 weeks, 9lbs) can eat 4-5 ounces at a time. I feed on demand so that can last sometimes 2 hours or more.
