If you have an 8 passenger SUV and have 3+ kids question for you
Where are your car seats ?? When dc3 arrives I was planning on planning on putting the older 2 in the 3rd row and the baby in the second. So they have each other and I can still have room for people if need be.

Re: If you have an 8 passenger SUV and have 3+ kids question for you
I have a 7 passenger because my middle row is captains chairs (I wanted easy access to 3rd row). My newborn is behind the passenger in an infant carseat/base. My 6 year old is in a booster behind the driver and my 8 year old is in the 3rd row split (I keep the other half of the third row folded down so I have a little more room for the stroller, bags, etc.)
ETA: If I have more passengers, I put the 3rd row all the way up and either they sit back there (it's a full size 3rd row) or I move my 6 year old back there temporarily and the guest can sit in the middle row).

How old are your children? Can they buckle themselves?

We have twin 5 month old preemies who are behind the driver and the center (new 2012 odyssey) and my 3 year old is in the third row on drivers side. Then I am able to push my right captain seat up and down and get to my 3 yr old.

They will be 4 and just shy of 2 so one can one can't. I'm sure it can be a pain but I just don't want people to have to climb in the back actually if I do 3 across the 2nd row than the 3rd row is not accessible.

Have the same set up and same car.
My kids are 16 mos, 4.5 (almost 5) and 7. The older two can buckle themselves and are both in lap belt booster seats. Although the almost 5yr old gets tangled here and there so I always have to double check his belt and sometimes when in back row - one of the seat belts is hard to buckle so if he is there, I have to climb back and help out.
