how much to move a piano?
My grandmother wants me to have her piano. She lives in Yonkers & I'm in Baldwin. Would anyone happen to know a round about price? I have no idea how much it would be.
If anyone would happen to have any recommendations on someone who could transport it for me I would appreciate that also.

how much to move a piano?
why don't you call a mover and ask? they wil give a quote over the phone.
we used bates brothers, the piano store recommended them and we've used them a handful of times.
cost depends on distance, the amount of steps, size of the piano and cost of the piano.
I think we paid a little over 200 for moving our large upright, but it was moved only 2 miles. 1st floor to 1st floor.

ours was similar...100+ year old upright grand (weighs a ton) but it was only moved across town from one ranch to another. I think 7 years ago it was $155.
