Furniture

DH and I are looking to furnish our new home, but the quality of furniture isn't incredible for the prices.

Can anyone suggest a place that has quality furniture that won't cost me both my arms and legs?

Thanks!!

We got our living room set and entertainment center almost 2 years ago and it's still like new. The quality is great for the prices we paid.

Re: Furniture

I ordered my bedroom set from North Carolina because I felt the same way. I will also be ordering my dining set from the same place this fall. It's by Kincaid and the quality is fantastic.

We got our living room set from Peter Andrews, but it's Ashley furniture.

Re: Furniture

PA? NC was Carolina Rustica, Peter Andrews has a website but they don't have much at all on it, so much more in the store.

Re: Furniture

I bought furniture from everywhere Chat Icon I shopped the sales and asked the sales person "When is friends & family" because that sale seems to give the most % off.

We bought furniture from; Ballard Designs (Office), Peter Andrews (dining room and coffee table/end table), Ashley (bedroom), Raymour & Flanigan (couches) and pottery barn (some light fixtures), Costco (entertainment stand for TV) and I think we are going to get our kitchen set from Bare Boards. . . . We bought this all this in the past few months - it's our 1st house. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Good Luck!

I have never ordered from this place but I know the prices are a lot cheaper than Raymour and The Place.http://homegallerystores.com/

Re: Furniture

Raymour and Flanigan have a friends and family sale twice a year. If you have an open ticket (i.e. you don't need a piece of furniture delivered for 6 months) you can add anything to your order with the sale price as long as it's open.

Another $$ saving thing I've learned if you want things from Pottery Barn, open a registry. Set the "date of event" for anytime you want (like tomorrow) After the date, you can buy anything off your registry for 10% off.

I believe this works for Crate and Barrel too. Although they will probably send you a nice coupon to welcome you to the neighborhood.

Good luck!
