I had my SSH yesterday and have been bleeding quite a bit since. Like a medium to heavy AF day. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Bleeding after saline sono?
I didn't have any bleeding but I did have AF like cramping! When was your last period?

Last period finished the day before the ssh. But it was a super light period which is rare for me.

The saline sonogram can cause irritation, which can cause bleeding. They have to push the catheter through your cervix and into your uterus. However, any cramps lasting over a day seems a bit long. Did the dr have a hard time getting the catheter in?
The catheter cannot cause AF to start again. AF is triggered by a drop in hormones, not anything physical.
Is it possible you thought AF was over and you really still have it?

Bleeding after saline sono?
I just had my saline sonogram and I really didnt have any cramping or bleeding...I agree with the pp that maybe AF was not over

I had some light bleeding that lasted a day or two after my saline sono. It was enough for a pad. My Dr. also had trouble reaching my cervix with the catheter, so it was irritated.

I definitely had cramps and bleeding for a few days. First two days I def had cramps and more heavier bleeding and it slowed down after that. I freaked out over it and called them and they said it was fine. I ended up doing the endo biopsy in same cycle, had a little bleeding bot nothing too crazy. The endo biopsy was the 10 second version of the saline sono one. Fun times.
