Re: Newbie with vitamin question
to answer the second part: i find that taking the vitamins with a meal helps. literally in between bites. (bite of food, swallow vitamin, another bite of food) that usually stops the nausea for me

Re: Newbie with vitamin question
I had trouble with nausea as well. I take flintstones and then a separate folic acid supplement and a dha supplement. That's what I took all through my first preg and it's what I plan to do this time as well.

Omg me too!! I always get super sick with vitamins. The one prenatal vitamin that never gets me sick is Rainbow one prenatal. Not too expensive and they are avail in cvs.

Re: Newbie with vitamin question
I know you said OTC, but I got a Rx from my doctor and have not had a problem with them. No nausea or anything. I take them right before bed. Plus, my supermarket's pharmacy now covers the cost of prenatals so they are free.

I take Rainbow Prenatal from Target. Like PP said.. take with a meal. It's more gentle on the stomach.

Re: Newbie with vitamin question
Everytime I see this post, it reminds me to take my vitamin I tried the rainbow light ones and I really like them. Right now I am taking the cvs prenatals because they were on sale. I like them because they are coated and go down easy. I started taking them a few months before we decided to ttc.
