Please share your siding pics
I want to reside my house. Now we have ceadar shakes but they are old and need to be replaced. I see everyone going with vinyl shakes, why? Do they last longer than wood? Do they fade over time? I'd love to see pics if you have them

We have new cedar. Everyone in our area uses either cedar or hardy. I dont think I would ever use vinyl, i do not like the way it looks (to put it mildly).

Cedar is much more expensive, which is why most people go with vinyl.
