Question re: bathroom tiles- opinions pls
Lol so in case you haven't noticed, we are redoing an entire house and it's a bit overwhelming , hence the three zillion questions
Background:Ok, we have three bathrooms. The master bedroom which is Tiny, a main hallway bathroom (only tub in the house) and one in the downstairs level. Hallway bath will be the kids bath and probably the one that will get most use.
Should we tile all the way up the walls? The other two will have tile halfway up
Is tile all over easier to maintain?
edited to explain: two of our bathrooms will be tiled only halfway up. the third bathroom, which is the only one with a tub, is the one we're debating on- considering tiling up all the walls but not sure if we should- definitely more expensive (especially once you add the fancy border tile pieces) but also thinking it would give us three distinctly different looking bathrooms

Personal preference but other than the shower or bathtub surround, don't like tiled walls. Definitely a lot easier to maintain though.

We just tiled all walls in one of our bathrooms floor to ceiling. I was VERY hesitant about it, but it came out gorgeous. I am glad we did it.

Me, too. Only one bathroom has tile half-way up the wall, the other bathrooms just have the tub area tiled. With painted walls, you can change the entire theme and color scheme in a bathroom with $20 and an afternoon of painting.
