Bathroom remodel question--need opinions

We currently live in a 3BR, 1 full bath, 2 half bath house. We want to gut/redo our full bath. It's quite a big space, has a long tub, separate shower but a small vanity. Would you prefer to keep both the separate shower & tub but have to get another smaller vanity or would you want to add a shower to the tub, get rid of the stand alone shower and have a larger (possibly double) vanity??

Re: Bathroom remodel question--need opinions

Do you bathe at the same time or need to use the vanity at the same time?

Most people do not take a shower and a bath at the same time but since this is your main bathroom you may have more than 1 person wanting to brush their teeth at the same time. KWIM?

Definitely the larger vanity. I think the bathroom would look bigger and more inviting to have more usable floor space.

Re: Bathroom remodel question--need opinions

When we redid our bathroom, we took out our separate stand-up shower and we added a double vanity. I LOVE my double vanity!!

I just didn't see the need for a stand-up shower when I had a big ol' tub right next to it!
