Anyone familiar with Ridge?

We are going to be moving to the Lake Panamoka area next month and are not really familiar with the area at all.

Any good shopping areas? Fun things to do? We will be on the lake, but we are looking for other activities as well. We've never lived that far out east so we are nervous but excited!

There's not much around that area, there's lots to do though in riverhead which isn't too far

You have alot of industry on 347 when you head west into the setauket area. You have splish splash in Riverhead as well as some great farm places to pick your own stuff. You aren't too far from the wineries and you can always head to Port Jefferson to walk down port to see the ferries coming in from CT. Atlantis marine world is in Riverhead as well. I am in Port Jeff station and before this lived in Nassau almost my entire life. WE LOVE IT OUT HERE.

a friend of mine lives on the Lake and they do a lot of nice activities. They are having a summer BBQ coming up, you should go to get to know people. If you are interested, FM me and I will give you the contact info

ETA: besides the lake, there is a lot in the Riverhead area (as mentioned) which is about 15 minutes from you. If there is anything particular you are looking for, let me know, I live out this way too

I live in lake Panamoka, we bought our house 8 years ago. This community is fabulous for kids, there are so many community activities. Riverhead is really close and there is tons of shopping, dining and other activities there. The beaches are all close by as well as the north fork which is amazing.

Thanks girls! I work in Port Jeff Station so I would be spending a lot of time on either 25a and 347 or 25 and 112. Not sure which one will be better with traffic. Depending on which way I take I guess will determine if we use the Ridge PO or the Wading River PO. Any thoughts?
