Ultrasound Results
So at my 20w appt they saw that the placenta was a little too low and slightly blocking my cervix. Everyone was optimistic that it would move up with time, and they told me there was a 90% chance it would. So I went back today and fortunately the placenta is out of the way!!
But, they found another problem. I was told that the blood flow from the placenta to the baby is not sufficient. They want to see me again in a week and told me to get some rest. Although not bedrest. To be honest, between work, renovating our new home and planning my baby shower I haven't actually relaxed at all since my BFP.
I'm definitely stopping everything for now, even taking the next 2 days off from work. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Re: Ultrasound Results
did they do a long sono on a newer machine where they took a really good look at the veins leading from the placenta to the baby?
i had a growth restricted (IUGR) baby due to pre-eclampsia and HELLP syndrome and undetected placenta accreta. i was unaware that her size and growth was on the low end until i was already admitted to the hospital for pre-e. do you have signs of pre-e like high BP, swelling (more than normal pregnancy ), protein in your urine, headaches? also did they say anything about your fluid levels? my fluid was on the low side. from what factors did they determine that the blood flow was insufficient (size of the baby?)? my daughter ended up being born 3lbs 8oz, she was a preemie at 33w1d, but she was more the size of a 31w baby due to the growth restriction and faulty placenta.
sorry you are dealing with this!! please FM if you have any questions!!
