Tetanus Shot
Yesterday I had to get a tetanus shot for a pretty bad cut I got on Sunday night. Im 29 weeks (tmrw) and I was assured by my primary doctor and my OBGYN that it was perfectly safe for my baby. BUT I can't help to stress out over it. I couldn't sleep last night thinking "what if" it's not safe. I'm sure everything is fine. BOTH my doctors assured me it was safe. Has anyone ever had a similar situation or know anyone else who did???

It's hard not to worry (I had some Nerds candy the other day and thought about it all weekend wondering if I put the baby into a sugar coma...lol)

some good info for you: Another form of the tetanus and diphtheria vaccine — called the Tdap — also offers protection from pertussis (whooping cough). If you haven't previously been vaccinated with Tdap, your health care provider will likely recommend that you get a Tdap vaccine during your late second trimester or third trimester of pregnancy or as soon as your baby is born. By getting Tdap during pregnancy, you'll be able to transfer pertussis antibodies to your newborn, which will help protect your baby from pertussis until he or she can be vaccinated.
