can you get a tetanus shot while pg?
does anyone know if you can get a tetanus shot if pg in an emergency? Or does it depend how far along you are?

I asked my ped about this, because there is now the recommendation that all caregivers receive the D-Tap (tetanus included) shot to prevent newborns from getting pertusis (whooping cough).
My ped said since I am so far along in pregnancy (at the time I was about 32 weeks) he will give it to me after the babies are born.

I got one when I was around 30 weeks?
I refused the shot at the hospital, b/c I wanted to check with my OB. he said it was OK, so I had to make an appoint to get the shot with my GP.
