Walk through tonight

we made sure to turn everything on and off
i also counted kitchen cabinets so i could organize them in my mind during closing

Flush all toilets, run all sinks, and turn the oven/stove. The homeowner was there with us during the walk through. Thank goodness he was because the oven wasn't working because it was locked. I would have never known how to unlock it.

Thanks so much! What about re: the exterior? Anything to do outside? We are also going to run the washing machine and dryer, dishwasher, CAC, and the sprinklers . . . we hope!!

My advice is look with a critical eye. If you think something looks good, turn it on/open it and make sure. And as crazy as it seems check that your bathtub plugs work (ours didn't and we made sure the old owner fixed it before we closed). Items like that - things you ordinarily would never think twice about

We never noticed the sink in the powder room was cracked.
We also didnt notice nor were "told" that the microwave handle was glued on.

when you turn the faucets on until you get into the basement this way you can tell i there are any leaking pipes down their. A little trick I learned from the guy who did my inspection. luckily he did it because we found a pipe leaking water.
