WHY oh why does she keep waking up?

Seriously....does anyone elses' almost 8 month old still wake up crying when they lose the paci?

She's also waking up, like fully awake, close to midnight, trying to pull up on the sides of her crib.

Sometimes if one of us just stands there, she'll fade back to sleep.....

is this a separation anxiety thing? Or is it the "I can move and stand up now so I don't want to sleep"

Yeah can I join the club! Gia was up every 2 hours last night, screaming I know it is from teething, so I have placed a pillow under her crib mattress so she is propped up a bit.. She will be 7 months 2morrow...

Sara is 6 months and has binkys all over her crib. If she looses one she just grabs another. She actually gathers them before she goes to sleep and puts them under her

Logan is going through this phase again. At first it was teething, and then he started crawling, and now he is pulling himself up on the couch and cruising. I heard that when they become more active they wake and move around more oftenChat Icon

Maybe she's uncomfortable for some reason? Teething? Too cold/hot?

Wean her !!! This is the perfect reason to do it. It's a 4 day process if it's done early....otherwise it's 2 weeks.

I would also say that you should ditch the paci! They are pure evil!!! Better early than later!!

Sydney also does this but I think it is because she is trying to crawl. I let her cry a little and she rolls around the whole crib and eventually falls back to sleep.

your are too funny. Although, I have brainstormed some devices that could keep a paci securely in it's place!

What's the best advice you can give to wean off the binkie? Peyton takes one and I want to try and get her off of it. She uses it only when she's really upset or tired.

Do I just get rid of it?

Re: WHY oh why does she keep waking up?

Carlie is just about 8 months and is doing some of same things. She is sleeping most of the night, but waking alot earlier than normal and is harder to get down. I think it is teething. If I give her the pacifier she goes back to bed.

Re: WHY oh why does she keep waking up?

Once in a blue moon Ryan will wake from losing his pacifier....

Usually I just put a few in his crib- so he can find it...

I know we should start weaning... but Im just not ready for it....

Ava is 11 months and still wakes up and cries when she can't find her paci. She does go right back to sleep after she finds it though.
